Information sent by a visitor
Search terms
A name, location, or other text entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Alexander County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own end.
Messages and contact submissions
An email or other message sent to the service may be kept long enough to read it, respond, and preserve a basic record of the exchange. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to address a legal request.
Technical details collected automatically
When a page loads, ordinary hosting, analytics, or security systems may receive technical details such as:
- IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system

- Request and visit timestamps
Cookies

How the information is used
- To keep the pages available, stable, and reasonably fast.
- To pass a search request to the partner service selected for that tool.
- To understand which pages are useful to visitors.
- To spot errors, abuse, and technical problems.
- To show advertising that may be based on browsing interests.
Links and services outside this site
These pages link to jail and detention resources, booking or court portals, sheriff and corrections pages, government locators, local news, and third-party search tools. Examples include the Pulaski County Detention Center, the Alexander County Sheriff profile, and the Alexander County Judici search. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination's privacy policy and data practices apply. Alexander County Busted Mugshots does not control that provider's collection, retention, security, content, or uptime.
Some advertising partners may track activity across different sites to support interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs on the partners' systems and is governed by their notices, not by this service.
